Neuromeka, a robot-manufacturing company, signs a technology transfer agreement for the 'soft weaving gripper' developed in collaboration with KIST and KAIST. 

Jong-Hun Park, the CEO of Neuromeka, stated, 'Weaving Gripper can manipulate irregularly shaped objects weighing several hundred kilograms or more quickly, in contrast to conventional gripper products using motors or pneumatic systems.' He further mentioned, 'We plan to utilize this technology not only for various picking tasks in process and kitchen automation but also for steel robot automation solutions.' Neuromeka plans to release related products within the year."

로봇 제조기업 뉴로메카는 한국과학기술연구원(KIST)과 한국과학기술원(KAIST)이 공동 개발한 소프트 그리퍼 '위빙 그리퍼'에 대한 기술이전 계약을 체결했다고 5일 밝혔다.

박종훈 뉴로메카 대표는 "위빙 그리퍼는 모터나 공압 방식 기존 그리퍼 제품에 비해 수백 킬로그램 이상의 무거운 비정형 형상의 물체를 빠르게 조작할 수 있다"며 "공정 및 조리 자동화의 다양한 피킹 작업뿐만 아니라, 철강 로봇 자동화 솔루션 등에 활용할 계획"이라고 밝혔다. 뉴로메카는 연내에 관련 제품을 출시할 계획이다.
