Details

The study introduces a foldable wing inspired by origami, utilizing a double-fold hinge mechanism to achieve compact storage and ease of transportation for fixed-wing UAVs. This design significantly reduces the overall volume of the aircraft, enhancing portability and operational convenience during transport. Despite its foldable structure, the wing maintains sufficient stiffness and generates meaningful aerodynamic forces required for stable flight. Furthermore, the system enables one-touch automatic deployment, demonstrating its feasibility and functional applicability to fixed-wing UAV operations.
